MARLENE HOLLAND TO DIRECTOR OF PROJECT CONSULTING
Novato, CA-October 6, 2003: Catalyst Systems, LLC, a healthcare consulting company specializing in precision staffing solutions, is pleased to announce the promotion of Marlene Holland, MPA, RN, to director of project consulting. In this role, Marlene will lead the company's project consulting practices and supervise its project consultants. This will include the hiring and training of consultants, project assignment and evaluation, and the implementation of consulting process improvement strategies. Ms. Holland has been with Catalyst for six years; she formerly was a senior project consultant for the company. An expert in the healthcare project consulting arena, Marlene served in a variety of related positions during her 25-year nursing career. She held staff and management positions in medical/surgical, pediatrics, newborn nursery, and critical care units. More recently, her career focused on project management in patient care redesign undertakings. These redesign areas have included critical care, case management, medical/surgical, information systems, clinical laboratory, and human resources. Additionally, she has managed a number of patient classification/staff activity studies in acute care settings. Ms. Holland earned a masters degree in public administration from the University of San Francisco, a bachelors degree in health services management from St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA, and a nursing diploma from the Alexandria Hospital School of Nursing in Alexandria, VA.
