CATALYST SYSTEMS APPOINTS NEW RESEARCH SERVICES DIRECTOR
Novato, CA-February 25, 2006: Catalyst Systems, LLC, a healthcare consulting company specializing in precision staffing solutions, announced the appointment of Suzanne Dibble, PhD, RN to the new position of Research Services Director. Recognized for her substantial contributions to patient outcomes research, Dr. Dibble will head up the Research Services team at Catalyst. "Her patient outcomes focus, combined with Catalyst's expertise in staffing and care delivery, is the perfect match for our talented team," said Catalyst CEO and co-founder Holly DeGroot, PhD, RN, FAAN. Recipient of many research honors, awards, and funded grants, Dibble received her doctorate from the University of California, San Francisco, where her studies emphasized patient outcomes and nursing administration. She has twice received the prestigious Schering Corporation Award for excellence in cancer nursing research from the Oncology Nursing Society. Prior to obtaining her doctorate, she was a staff nurse, head nurse, supervisor, and nursing instructor. Currently she is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute for Health & Aging, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco, and has conducted multiple research projects on managing the symptoms experienced by patients undergoing chemotherapy. A prolific and respected writer, Dibble has had more than 80 articles published in refereed journals including Oncology Nursing Forum, Cancer Nursing, Archives of Internal Medicine, as well as the American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. In 2005, she co-authored a book with Dr. Juliene Lipson, Culture & Clinical Care, published by UCSF Nursing Press.
