Novato, CA-March 3, 2009: Catalyst Systems, LLC of Novato, CA, announced the 2009 recipient of the Barbara Brantley Nursing Education Scholarship: Nika Federoff, BSN, RN, of Santa Monica, CA. The scholarship fund, administered by the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL), was established by Catalyst to support students enrolled in a Masters program focused on nursing leadership, management, or administration. The intent of this scholarship is to foster leadership excellence in nursing.

At the 2009 ACNL Annual Conference in Monterey, CA this February, Catalyst founder and CEO, Holly De Groot, PhD, RN, FAAN, presented a check for $2500 to Ms. Federoff, who is a second year student in the MSN program in nursing at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her focus is Nursing Administration, and she will receive her MSN degree in June, 2009.

Catalyst Systems CEO De Groot told the ACNL audience, "The Barbara Brantley scholarship was established in honor of Barbara’s deeply-felt commitment to the importance of higher education in nursing. Nika Federoff is a highly accomplished nurse and an exemplary student, furthering her career as a transformational leader in nursing."
